Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 27 August 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

StoryRoad is provided by The Hakso English School Ltd ("StoryRoad", "we", "us"), trading as StoryRoad. By using the StoryRoad app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. The service

StoryRoad is an AI-powered road-trip narration service. You provide a route and language preference; we generate audio narration about places along the route using AI models. Content is generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies. Do not rely on it for navigation, safety-critical information, or professional advice.

3. Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account or using the Service you confirm that you are of legal age in your country and, if using StoryRoad on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind that organisation.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to send spam.
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
  • Attempt to interfere with the security of the Service, probe or scan it, upload malware, or scrape it.
  • Use outputs for illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, harassment, or to jailbreak or misuse the underlying AI models.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or reverse-engineer it.

You are responsible for the prompts and route information you submit, for how you use the outputs, for verifying their accuracy, and for ensuring you have the rights to any content you input.

5. Accounts and credentials

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity under your account.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, branding, and documentation, is owned by The Hakso English School Ltd or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with your plan. Where you retain rights to content you input, you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or refuse to generate content, and to suspend accounts, for repeated or serious violations of these Terms or applicable law. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us and we will handle the request in accordance with applicable law.

7. AI outputs and accuracy

Narration is generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. It is provided for general and educational purposes only and is not professional, legal, medical, financial, or navigational advice. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on.

8. Payments, subscriptions, tax and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. For our refund window and how to request a refund, see our Refund Policy.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

9. Service availability

We work to keep the Service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features and pricing may change.

10. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the fees you paid us (via Paddle) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, if we reasonably suspect fraud or a security risk, or for repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete associated data after a reasonable period.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
